The Glassers are the creators of important educational,
publishing, and business development concepts that
have been highly successful over the past three decades.
The Glassers have started and sold three businesses
in the legal industry.
They founded Sandpiper Partners LLC, Woodland Park,
N.J., in 2005.
The Glassers have led the way in innovative business
management and substantive law education in the legal
field. At Glasser LegalWorks, which they founded in
1995, they initiated and ran a series of trailblazing
courses including The CIO Forum, The Executive Director
and CFO Forum, The Law Firm Leaders Forum, The Marketing
Partner Forum, The Practice Group Management Forum,
and numerous other institutes attended by thousands
of law firm managers and attorneys every year. They
have organized more than 1,500 conferences, seminars,
and institutes. They developed the first
Executive MBA program for law firm managers at SUNY
Stony Brook University College of Business.
This dynamic duo has published more than 700 books
in the legal and business fields, and more than 100
newsletters, many of which they have created. They
started the “Legal Times” newspaper in
Washington, D.C., which they sold with their investors
to American Lawyer Media. They have assisted many
private clients with business development and
management projects
including law firms, accounting firms, software and
technology companies, financial printers, financial
institutions, and electronic discovery companies.
In 2004 the Glassers and their investors sold Glasser
LegalWorks to the largest company in the field, West/The
Thomson Corporation (now Thomson Reuters). At the end of 2004, the Glassers
stepped back from day-today operations and became
chairmen emeritus of Glasser LegalWorks. The Glassers
also have been co-presidents of Prentice Hall Law
& Business, a division of Simon & Schuster;
and Law & Business Inc., Harcourt Brace Jovanovich,
publishers. Stephen Glasser holds a J.D. degree from
the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A.
cum laude from
Colgate University, where he was elected to Phi Beta
Kappa. Lynn Glasser has a B.A. from Chatham
College. They are both listed in "Who's Who".
The Glassers also have
served on numerous nonprofit boards including
Bloomfield College, the Montclair Art Museum and the
Community Foundation of New Jersey. Mr.
Glasser is Vice Chairman of the Bloomfield College
Board and Mrs. Glasser is Vice President and
Secretary of the Montclair Art Museum Board. They
